Silent Hunter V

Requires a constant internet connection to run – which makes this officially the worst DRM scam yet.

I don’t think so Ubisoft.

Like I posted on the Wargamer forum...I will buy this game...but only if and when it is a 10 dollar Classic/Gold/whatever edition in some bargain bin, with the DRM removed. Ubi will at that point be making a lot less money from me.

Sadly, I think this is the end of one of my very favorite game series. They are hoping that game consumers will swallow and buy with this DRM and are alienating those of us true fans of wargame simulations...cuz I from what I have heard, seen and read, this crown is none too happy. I do not think the normal "game" consumer will be impressed enough to keep this game alive. Ubi needs both groups...and looks like they lost one.
